Wilde East Towne Honda Celebrates Earth Day; The Sustainable Way

Turning Earth Day into a Hands-On Look at Cleaner Driving

Wilde East Towne Honda welcomed Madison-area drivers for Save the Earth & Your Wallet, an Earth Day dealership event focused on electric vehicles, hybrids, and the practical benefits of using less fuel. Between 50 and 100 visitors attended throughout the day, creating steady opportunities for questions, conversations, and time with Honda’s electrified lineup.

The dealership featured the all-electric Honda Prologue alongside the CR-V Hybrid and Accord Hybrid. Having all three vehicles together helped guests compare different approaches to electrified driving, from a fully electric SUV to hybrid models that improve efficiency without requiring external charging.

A series of seminars covered EV charging and the hybrid technology used in Honda vehicles. Team members explained how the systems work, what drivers can expect in everyday use, and how factors such as charging access, driving habits, and fuel costs can influence which option makes the most sense.

Test drives gave attendees a chance to experience the vehicles beyond the showroom. Each participant received a goodie bag filled with GreenCars merchandise and seed packets, tying the Earth Day theme to a memorable dealership experience while encouraging more local drivers to consider cleaner transportation.
