How often should a hybrid car be serviced?

Service a hybrid according to its manufacturer’s maintenance schedule, which is usually based on time, mileage, vehicle condition, or a combination of those factors. Because a hybrid still has a gasoline engine, it needs engine oil and filter changes plus other conventional engine services at the specified intervals.

Hybrids also need tire rotations, brake and fluid inspections, cabin filters, suspension checks, and other normal vehicle maintenance. Regenerative braking can reduce friction-brake wear, but tire wear and service costs vary by model and driving conditions, so there is no universal rule that hybrids need tires more often.
