Lyriq Lease Prices Drop as EV Market Shifts
America’s automakers have a talent for fixing annoying problems. When the government pulled the plug on federal EV tax credits at the end of September, the big wigs at Cadillac realized they needed a way to save drivers money on its electric vehicles.
Now, Caddy’s luxury EV known as the Lyriq SUV has become a lot more affordable. The lease price on the Lyriq since November has dropped by $115 a month.
The Lyriq was the upscale car company’s first EV out of its Spring Hill, Tennessee assembly plant back about three and a half years ago and it is the second-best selling luxury EV in America this year.
To keep its success rolling, Cadillac is offering its 2025 Lyriq with leases starting at lower lease prices. The $115 price drop is among the largest of any new car model in America.
Best Year on Record
Cadillac is having its best sales year since 2013 based on sales performance in the first three quarters of 2025. The company says the positive results has been caused by strong sales of its gasoline-powered Escalade model and 40 percent of Cadillac’s sales so far this year were electric cars.
Sales have been significantly bolstered by the introduction of new EV models including the Lyriq, Optiq, and Vistiq. The luxury automaker has benefitted from a strong production lineup, consistent pricing, low incentives, and growing market share for the brand.
Lyriq Savings
Besides the $115 price drop this November on leasing a new Lyriq model, Cadillac is also offering its Competitive Cash Allowance, a special incentive also known as “Conquest Cash” that offers discounts towards the purchase or lease of a new Cadillac vehicle to customers who currently own or lease a competing brand vehicle.
In this case, the deal includes a $2,000 cash allowance on the Lyriq if you own or lease a Tesla, Rivian, Polestar, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Genesis, BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and other competitive brand of electric vehicle.
Cadillac is offering the $2,000 competitive cash allowance toward all of its electric cars except for the new Escalade IQ. It includes the entry-level Optiq, midsize Lyriq, and larger Vistiq models. As of this writing in mid-November, prices on the Optiq is available to lease for a lower monthly payment and to take advantage of the deals mentioned here, you must take delivery by January 2nd, 2026.*

The Lyriq comes with a 340-horsepower motor at the rear axle. Steering is nicely weighted and handling is competent. Aggressive regenerative braking allows one-pedal driving, and the ride is extremely comfortable.
Zero to 60 miles per hour happens in 5.7 seconds for the rear-wheel drive version and the all-wheel drive Lyriq will get you there in 4.6 seconds. A 102-kWh battery pack will take you an EPA estimated 314 miles on a charge with the single motor or 307 miles for the dual-motor Lyriq.
